Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. Welcome to Remote WorkHER
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Remote WorkHER website, platform and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Remote WorkHER (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date below and, for material changes, notify you by email or inside the product. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. The Service is built for women building their careers — whether you are studying, job seeking, employed, freelancing or returning after a break — and is open to members across Africa and the diaspora.
You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at partnerships@remoteworkher.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Memberships and billing
Remote WorkHER offers a free plan and paid plans (currently Starter, Job Seeker and Career Accelerator), billed monthly, quarterly or yearly through our payment providers, Paystack and Flutterwave. Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include VAT where applicable.
Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from inside the app — you keep paid access until the end of the current billing period, and we do not offer partial refunds for unused time except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days at partnerships@remoteworkher.com and we will review it.
If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until billing is resolved. We may change plan prices or features with reasonable notice; existing billing periods are unaffected.
4. AI tools and usage allowances
Each plan includes a monthly allowance for AI-powered tools such as Hera (your AI Career Guide), Career Explorer, Resume Builder and Optimizer, Cover Letter AI, the LinkedIn and Freelance toolkits and others. Allowances reset every month and unused uses do not roll over.
AI outputs are generated assistance, not professional advice. Always review resumes, cover letters, applications and negotiation scripts before you send them — you are responsible for what you submit to employers. Do not use the tools to generate misleading credentials, impersonate others, or produce unlawful content. We may rate-limit or suspend tool access that abuses the Service or other members’ fair use.
5. Job board and applications
We work to keep job listings vetted and current, but we do not guarantee any listing’s accuracy, availability or outcome, and we are not a party to any employment relationship between you and an employer. Always do your own diligence before accepting an offer or sharing sensitive documents.
Job matches, ATS scores and recommendations are guidance only. Applying through the platform does not guarantee interviews or offers.
6. Your content and portfolio
You retain ownership of everything you create on the Service — your portfolio, projects, resume content, posts and messages (“Your Content”). By publishing or sharing it, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute it as needed to operate the Service (for example, showing your public portfolio to visitors with the link).
You must only upload content you own or have permission to share. Do not post unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or infringing material, and do not upload other people’s private information. We may remove content or restrict publishing that violates these Terms.
7. Community conduct
Our community — discussions, chapters, challenges, events and office hours — runs on mutual respect. Harassment, hate speech, spam, scams, impersonation and the sharing of anyone’s private information are not tolerated and may lead to immediate removal.
Advice shared by members and mentors reflects personal experience, not professional counsel. Mentorship sessions are conversations, not guarantees of employment, promotion or income.
8. Mentorship and events
Mentors give their time voluntarily in 30-minute 1:1 slots. Bookings are subject to mentor availability, and sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled where necessary — we will always try to find you an alternative. Paid-event tickets are refundable only where the event page says so, or where the event itself is cancelled.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no scraping or bulk extraction, no reverse engineering, no interfering with other members’ access, no circumventing usage limits or paywalls, and no using the Service for anything unlawful. Automated access (bots, scrapers) requires our prior written permission.
10. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings — paid access continues until the end of the billing period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or pose risk to other members, with or without prior notice for serious violations. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; provisions that should reasonably survive (ownership, liability limits) continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remote WorkHER will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunities or income arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose — or ₦0 if you are on a free plan.
12. Changes to the Service
We are always improving: features, tools, plans and content may be added, changed or retired. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, offer alternatives.
